Kryston Review

Search visibility review for cybersecurity firms.

A one-off diagnosis of how Google and AI engines currently find and describe your firm, and what to fix first. Your team keeps the execution.

IN SHORT

A search visibility review establishes whether relevant buyers can find your cybersecurity firm in Google and AI-generated answers, why or why not, and which changes are worth making first. It includes a technical SEO audit, but it is built around buyer intent and AI answer accuracy, not crawler warnings.

Who it is for

Founders and marketing leads at penetration testing firms, vCISO and GRC consultancies, MSSPs, MDR providers and specialist security consultancies who suspect search is underperforming but do not know why.

It suits firms with someone who can implement changes internally, or firms that want an independent view before committing to ongoing work.

01 Process

How the review runs.

The steps happen in this order because each one depends on the evidence gathered before it.

  1. Agree the scope

The services that matter commercially, the markets you sell in, and the buyer roles who search.

  2. Establish the baseline

Crawl and indexing checks, Search Console query and page data, and which pages attract which intent.

  3. Test AI answers

A fixed set of branded, provider-discovery and information prompts, run across engines and regions, recorded with date, wording, mention and cited URL.

  4. Trace the sources

Which pages, profiles, directories and third-party sources AI engines and search results rely on, and whether they are current.

  5. Find the gaps

Missing or thin service pages, unanswered buyer questions, inconsistent identity, unsupported claims.

  6. Prioritize

A short list of actions ranked by likely impact and effort, with what your team can do internally and what needs specialist work.

What the review will not do

It will not forecast leads or revenue. It will not guarantee rankings or AI citations, which no one controls. It will not recommend SEO as the answer to a problem that is really about pricing, positioning or sales capacity.

Where it can lead

Some firms implement the plan themselves. Some ask Kryston to do the work through Managed Kryston. Some learn that search should stay a minor channel. All three are legitimate outcomes.

03 Questions

Common questions

What is a search visibility review?

A structured diagnosis of how a firm currently appears in Google and in AI-generated answers. It covers crawling and indexing, which queries and pages show the firm, how AI engines describe it on a fixed set of prompts, which sources they draw on, content gaps, and a prioritized plan.

Is this the same as a cybersecurity SEO audit?

It includes what a technical SEO audit covers, and adds search intent, service-page fit, AI answer accuracy and citation sources. The output is a set of priorities, not a list of every warning a crawler produces.

What access does Kryston need?

Read access to Google Search Console and web analytics is ideal. The review can still run without it, using crawl data, public search results and AI prompt testing, with the limitation stated in the findings.

What if the review concludes search is not worth it?

Then that is the finding. Some services have little organic demand, and some firms sell through a handful of relationships. A candid conclusion is more useful than a plan built on an assumption.
